WRD Assam Recruitment 2021: Assistant Engineer & Junior Engineer Vacancy (100 posts)

WRD Assam Recruitment 2021: Water Resources Department , Assam has released current employment news for the recruitment 100 vacancies for Assistant Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Civil) under Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Limitations of Functions Regulations, 1951. The last date for submission of the application is 21/10/2021.

1. Post Name: Assistant Engineer (Civil)

  • No. of Posts: 63 [Open: 45, SC: 04, STP: 07, STH: 02 & EWS: 05]
  • Scale of Pay: PB-4, Rs.30000-110000/- pm with Grade Pay Rs.12700/- pm
  • Education Qualification:

(i) BE or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering obtained from any institute approved by the AICTE and recognized by the Government.

(ii) The Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering must be a Regular Full Time Course. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.

(iii) Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1 (one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.

  • Age limit: Not less than 18 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2021. The upper age limit relaxation as per Govt. norms.

2. Post Name: Junior Engineer (Civil)

  • No. of Posts: 37 [Open: 19, OBC/MOBC: 05, SC: 07, STP: 04 & EWS: 02]
  • Scale of Pay: PB-2, Rs.14000-60500/- pm with Grade Pay Rs.8,700/- pm
  • Education Qualification:

(i)A candidate must pass 3 (three) years Diploma in Civil Engineering from any Institute recognized by AICTE.

(ii) The Diploma in Civil Engineering must be a Regular Full Time Course. Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.

(iii) Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1 (one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.

(i) Applicants are required to apply online through Water Resources Department’s Govt. website i.e. www.waterresources.assam.gov.in.

(ii) Rest of the application along with the date of filling up of online application will be announced shortly in www.waterresources.assam.gov.in.

Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable as mentioned below

  • By 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. up to 43 years.
  • By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years.
  • For Persons with Disability (PWD) by 10 years.

Other Criteria of Water Resources Department Recruitment

  1. Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
  2. Domicile: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam. For proof of permanent residence, the candidate or his/her parents must be a voter of Assam. The voter ID card of the candidate or his/her parents will be treated as proof of permanent residence.
