SSTRB Gangtok Recruitment 2022: Sikkim State Teachers’ Recruitment Board (SSTRB), Upper Syari, Gangtok, East Sikkim has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 33 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Graduate Teachers and Physical Education Teachers Vacancy for Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) under Social Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim. The last date for submission of the application is 31/08/2022.
1. Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs)
- No. of vacancy: 21 (Twenty-one)
- Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree in concerned subject from a recognized University.
- Professional Qualification: B.Ed. degree from NCTE recognized Institute.

- Qualification: Graduate with specific subject from a recognized University. Must have the following Subject Combinations:
- For GT (Arts): History, Geography, Economics and Pol. Science of which one must be either History or Geography.
- For GT (Science): Botany, Zoology and Chemistry.
- For GT (Math’s): Math’s with any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics.
- Professional Qualification:
- B.Ed. degree from NCTE recognized Institute.
- STET/CTET
- Subject wise posts:
- Arts: 04
- Science: 02
- Mathematics: 01
3. Graduate Teacher (Languages)
- No. of vacancy: 03 (Three)
- Educational Qualification:
- Graduate with particular/concerned subject (language) from a recognized University.
- Graduate from a recognized University with minimum class VIII Passed from School under Government of Sikkim in the concerned language/Certificate issued by the Literary Organization of the community registered under Government of Sikkim/ minimum class VIII passed from SBIELOS.
- Professional Qualification:
- B.Ed. degree from NCTE recognized Institute.
- STET/CTET

- Hindi: 02
- Tamang: 01
4. Physical Education Teachers (PETs)
- No. of vacancy: 02 (Two)
- Educational Qualification: Masters in Physical Education.
- Professional Qualification: M.P.Ed. from NCTE recognized Institution.
Age Limit: Should not have exceeded 40 years as on 31.07.2022, in terms of Notification No. M (3)/(55)/GEN/DOP/Pt. III dated. 03.07.2019.

(ii) STET: State Teacher’s Eligibility Test,
(iii) CTET: Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test,
(iv) SBIELOS: State Board of Indigenous and Endangered Languages of Sikkim.

Candidates fulfilling the above criteria may submit their applications in the prescribed form available in the SSTRB Office after submitting a Bank Receipt of ₹ 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) payable in the State Bank of Sikkim under the Revenue Head 0202-102-03-Edn.

Application forms will be issued from 16.08.2022 till the last date of submission of forms wherein, the submission of the forms along with the following documents starts from 22.08.2022 and the last date of submission of form is 31.08.2022 (within office hours). No application shall be accepted after 3:30 PM.
a. Mark sheet and Pass certificate of post-Graduation issued by Recognized University (for PGT and PET).
b. Mark sheet and Pass certificate of Graduation issued by Recognized University.
c. Mark sheet and Pass certificate of Class X and XII or equivalent issued by Recognized Board.
d. Mark sheet and Pass certificate of M.P. Ed issued by NCTE Recognized Institute (For PET).
e. Mark sheet and Pass certificate of B. Ed. issued by NCTE Recognized Institute (For PGT and GT).
f. Certificate of STET/CTET (for GT).
g. Sikkim Subject/Certificate of Identification.
h. Proof of Date of Birth.
i. Valid Local Employment Card (Self Attested).
j. Bank receipt.
k. Two passport size photographs.

Syllabus for the Screening-Cum-Interview of Post Graduate Teachers, Graduate Teachers and Physical Education Teachers comprises of the following:
i. General English and General Awareness
ii. Educational Concepts and Methodology
iii. Basic Knowledge of Computers
iv. Subject Specific Knowledge (Candidate’s knowledge level should be in keeping with the post applied for).
