Essential Qualification for SSA Assam LP & UP Jobs

(i) Assistant Teacher – Lower Primary

• At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes

Or

At least 45% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year

• Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations,2002.

Or

At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

Or

At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education)

Or

Graduation from UGC recognized University with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in

• Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes

Or

Graduation or Post Graduation* with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with LP- TET and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University **

As per NCTE Notification vide F.No. NCTE-Reg/012//22/2019-US(Regulation)-HQ, dated 13.11.2019

The appointee who is appointed on the basis of qualification of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) shall mandatorily undergo a Six-month bridge course in Elementary Education recognized by the National council for Teacher Education (NCTE) within two years of the appointment. [5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST (P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC & PH candidates]

(ii) Assistant Teacher – Upper Primary (Social Science)

• Graduation from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes

Or

Graduation or Post Graduation* with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University.

Or

Graduation with at least 45% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

Or

Graduation with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 1-year Bachelor in Education (Special Education) from recognized institutes/University

B.Sc. or M.Sc.* with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University

Or

B.Sc. with at least 45% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

Or

B.Sc. with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 1-year Bachelor in Education (Special Education) from recognized institutes/University

Age limit for SSA Assam LP & UP Assistant Teacher Vacancy

Minimum age is 18 years for all candidates and maximum age is 40 years for unreserved category, 43 years for OBC/MOBC and 45 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H) and 50 years for Persons with Disability (PwD) as on 1st January’2020 as per Government Office Memorandum vide No. ABP.6/2016/51, dated 02.09.2020. This relaxation shall be applicable only to those candidates who have attained the necessary educational or other qualifications prior to crossing of their existing upper age limit of 40 years.

How to Apply for SSA Assam LP & UP Teacher Recruitment?

• The applicants (Writ Petitioners) are requested to visit the official website of SSA, Assam i.e. ssa.assam.gov.in and fill up/submit the online application form along with District Preference (only one district) and upload the following documents from the Midnight of 15th August, 2022 to the Midnight of 15th September, 2022.
• The applicants (Writ Petitioners) must mention the number of the Writ Petition and the Sl. No. of his/her name in the respective Writ Petition in the relevant fields while submitting online application and the selection will be done in compliance of the final order and directions of the Hon’ble Gauhati High Court in WA No. 69/2021.
• Those Writ Petitioners who have already submitted offline documents in the office of the undersigned also need to apply online application.
